Nature babycare Eco-friendly Diapers Review
I was looking for an alternative to cloth diapers and diapers that would fill our landfill. These diapers make me feel like I am at least doing a little to help the environment, and they are a good diaper. They do not leak, however, I do not use them at night. The only down side is that the tabs only stick to the waistband, so if you like rolling up your diapers tight after use, you won’t be able to with these. Also, I have had one or two, per package, that came with a tab missing. I solve the problem by putting that one on baby first, then a good diaper around that. Once baby wets the first one, I toss it and use the one I had on the outside. I do recommend these if you are trying to help our environment and don’t want to go the cloth route.
I’m using these for my 3 and a half month old. They absorb really well. The only downside is that they are smaller than we thought. Size 1 fit tightly when our daughter was approaching 13 lbs.
I was delighted to find this option. Read an article where the owner is quoted as saying that they are 70% biodegradable – how great is that! It was hard to get hold of just one bag to try them (tried all Targets in my area – no luck), so took the plunge and ordered a whole box from Amazon. I am happy with them. They are a bit stiffer than the 7th generation ones I was using, but my son is 21 months, not a newborn, so he’s not super sensitive. Anyway, he seems not to mind the slightly stiffer aspect (he’s got no problem communicating dislikes!). They certainly are prettier. White with tiny pale green leaves. And most importantly, they make me feel a lot less guilty about the landfills my son is clogging up. I also like the fact that they are made using 100% corn products, 0% petroleum products. I feel it’s better for his skin, less toxic. As for absorbency and leakage, about the same as a 7th generation. That is to say, slightly less than pampers and huggies, but so much better for the soul.
